Verify medication instructions. MedAi helps record medicines and organize reminders. AI can misread a label. Check every medicine, dose and schedule against your prescription and pharmacist’s instructions before saving or acting on it.
These terms apply between you and Varaporn Suwanthevarat, operating as MedAi. Accepting these terms does not waive mandatory consumer rights or constitute consent to optional AI photo processing.
1. Purpose and limitations
MedAi supports medication records, reminder schedules, label transcription, stock estimates and adherence history. It does not establish a clinician–patient relationship. Do not use it to diagnose a condition, choose treatment, identify an unknown pill, decide a medicine is safe, or change prescribed treatment. Ask a pharmacist if instructions are unclear. In an emergency, call local emergency services (1669 in Thailand).
AI-generated names, doses, course lengths and changing-dose plans may be wrong even when presented confidently. Review every step, day and time before saving. Allergy alerts use a limited set of rules and names; absent warnings are not evidence of safety, and alerts may be incomplete or incorrect. MedAi does not check for interactions between your medicines, and does not check a medicine against any condition, pregnancy or other treatment. Stock and adherence figures depend on the information you enter and are estimates or records, not clinical assessments.
2. Reminders
Delivery depends on permissions, power, operating-system limits and device settings. Check that reminders are scheduled, keep the app updated and reopen it regularly. Some non-weekly or finite schedules are scheduled over a rolling window of up to 21 days and need the app to run again to extend it; system limits may shorten coverage. Keep another reliable reminder method, especially for time-critical medication. Do not change or double a dose because of an app notification; follow your prescriber’s missed-dose instructions.
Reminders also stop in two cases you control. If you use the pause control, no reminders are delivered until the pause ends. And if you hold more medicines than your plan allows, the medicines over that limit are locked, which means they are excluded from reminder scheduling until you remove others or subscribe — see section 4. The app shows which medicines are locked, but it is your responsibility to check that the medicines you rely on are active.
3. Accounts, age and privacy
MedAi keeps no backup of your records. Medicines, schedules, dose history, allergies and photos are stored only on your device, encrypted with a key held in that device’s keystore. We hold no copy on our servers and cannot read or restore them. On Android, device backup and transfer are switched off for this data. Treat a lost, reset or wiped device as a total loss of your medication history: we cannot recover it, and there is no restore feature. (On iOS an encryption key can occasionally be reinstated through iCloud Keychain, which may make old records readable again, but this depends on your own Apple settings and is not something we provide or can promise.) Keep your own note of anything you would need to reconstruct a prescription.
Firebase provides a pseudonymous installation account. Clearing data or reinstalling may affect local records and account access. Users under 20 need appropriate parent or guardian consent and supervision. AI scanning requires confirmation that you are at least 18 and, for ages 18–19, have guardian consent. Age self-attestation does not verify identity. Do not submit another person’s prescription without appropriate authority.
The Privacy Policy explains processing and rights. Optional AI photo processing and overseas transfers require the separate in-app consent choice. You may decline or withdraw it and continue manual entry and reminders.
4. Purchases
The free plan schedules reminders for up to 3 medicines and allows 5 AI label scans per month. Premium raises this to 200 scans per month and removes the medicine limit. If you hold more medicines than your plan allows — including when a subscription ends or a renewal fails — the medicines over the limit are locked and stop sending reminders, as described in section 2. They are not deleted, and unlock again when you subscribe or remove others. We will give reasonable notice before reducing a published limit.
Before subscribing, review the store’s displayed price, billing period, trial and auto-renewal terms. Manage cancellation through Apple or Google. Deleting app data does not cancel billing. Refund requests follow the applicable store process and mandatory law; these terms do not exclude statutory remedies. Contact support for purchase problems.
5. Updates and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use MedAi on devices you control, for your own medication or for someone you are authorised to assist. What you enter remains yours; we claim no ownership of your records. Do not bypass security or purchase controls, misuse other people’s data, or overload the service. Restrictions on copying or reverse engineering apply only to the extent allowed by law.
MedAi uses Shorebird for app patches and may require an app-store update. Check your saved settings after updates. The service depends on Apple, Google, Firebase and RevenueCat; their outages, policy changes or withdrawal of a service can interrupt or alter parts of MedAi, and we are not responsible for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. Reminders are scheduled by your device’s operating system and are designed to keep working during an outage of our services.
If we discontinue MedAi, we will give reasonable advance notice through the app or by email where we can, and we will not remotely delete the records held on your device. Reminders already scheduled on your device continue to function for as long as your device and its operating system allow.
6. Warranties and liability
We do not promise error-free AI results, uninterrupted service or guaranteed alarm delivery. These limitations describe the service; they do not excuse duties imposed by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death, bodily injury or harm to health caused by intentional or negligent acts where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited; fraud, gross negligence; or any other liability or consumer, privacy or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. You do not assume all legal responsibility merely by using the app or confirming a screen.
For claims outside those protected categories, and only where lawful and fair, our aggregate contractual liability is limited to the greater of THB 5,000 or the fees you paid for MedAi in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply to the protected categories above, and it is not intended to leave a user who paid nothing without a remedy. Courts may decline to apply or adjust terms under mandatory law.
7. Law, changes and contact
These terms are published in English and Thai. For users in Thailand the Thai version governs; elsewhere, where the two differ, the reading more favourable to you applies. Thai law governs these terms, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. Disputes may be brought before competent Thai courts; this does not remove rights to another forum where mandatory law provides them. Invalid provisions do not remove the remaining lawful terms.
If something goes wrong, please contact support first at support@meetmedai.com. We aim to acknowledge within 7 days and to resolve or explain within 30 days. This step is offered to resolve problems quickly and does not restrict your right to complain to a regulator or to go to court at any time.
Each version of these terms is dated and kept available at its own address, so the version you accepted stays readable. Where law requires notice or renewed agreement, we must provide it; continued use alone does not replace required consent.
